balance

Balance is the key to life. This week I ended up in the hospital with kidney stones and emergency stent surgery. I also found out I have more stones in both kidneys to deal with. Kidneys are Chi, life force. Without it, we have nothing. Stops you dead in your tracks. Your body speaks your mind. Where there is chaos things become unbalanced, foundation is shook, confusion ensues. It’s in these big wake up call moments that our bodies are yelling at us to listen to heed the warnings. I laid in the hospital bed reflecting on the last year of my life. Realizing how much I had persevered, how much I had been through. It’s overwhelming. I never stopped to praise myself yet kept pressing through exhaustion which only lead to more weakness. Then it hit me. The answers are always there. The former yogi in me needs to meet periodically with the Go go go real estate professional. They both need each other. One without the other creates imbalance as I found out this week.... so as I recuperate slowly, gently, guess where I will be this morning before everything? Back on the mat..... balance is everything. What positive coping strategies do you have in your life at your disposal?

Rise Up

There’s something incredibly satisfying to see yourself rise from a situation or relationship that was meant to break you... only to come back stronger, wiser, better. Life is a series of events, some good, some not so good.  Have you every looked back on something you got through and remember feeling as if you didn’t think you get through it?  Usually to make things worse, people around you might doubt you as well. But it’s always in those times when you dig down inside and find a strength to rise up that you didn’t think you had.

Magic

Have you ever wanted something so much it affects all aspects of your life. You can’t sleep, or can’t eat.  Maybe you try to force a certain outcome. Perhaps events surrounding  your desired result do not seem to work in your favor. It’s in that moment we have a choice. We can either continue to force things to happen and create similar results which cause frustration or… we can surrender and let the universe take over. Surrender is much different than giving up. Giving up implies no help no faith not trust.

Not Willing to Stay where you are

Many times we complain about a situation or a relationship we’re in. We feel stagnate, unfulfilled. But yet we fear the life without it, we do nothing but continue to perseverate on our unhappiness with our current situation. It’s a vicious cycle fueled by fear. How many times does it take us of complaining about something to go through another situation that gives us the same results before we decide to act? That’s different for each of us....If you want different results you’ve got to be willing to change the way you do things.

Wonder Woman

Believe in your inner Wonder Woman:  life throws a lot at us. Some good, some bad, some meant to break us, some meant to define us.... but in all those moments I like to channel my inner Wonder Woman.  The woman who is strong, yet calm, who thinks before she speaks.  The woman who balances life with seemingly no effort; she does it all.  The woman who is not afraid to assertively express herself And go after what she wants . The same woman who is keenly aware of the affect of her words and actions on others and proceeds with compassion  but  fierce determination for whatever cause of the day can be calling her attention.

Growth

We all grow at different rates and that’s ok:  words of wisdom to reflect on as we start a new week.  It’s very easy to compare yourself or your growth to others and end up feeling unworthy.  I think in those moments we need to stop, take a breathe and reflect on all the things we’ve been through and see how far we’ve come.   As a first time mother, I remember when my son was diagnosed with autism at 18 months old.  Something inside of me new he wasn’t reaching the typical milestones as other babies.

New Beginnings

New Beginnings.. They say when one door closes another one opens.  Why is it that when these endings and new beginnings that happen simultaneously, we may sometimes cling to the past, even if it no longer works for us,instead of embracing the new?  Choosing fear over love.  It's been my experience through my life that every time I thought an ending would devastate me, leaving me paralyzed in pain, the beginning before me, would thrust me into a new and better chapter bringing with it new people, new experiences, and ultimately new opportunities for me to grow as a person.  Every time....but why do we resist?  Choosing fear over love.  Fear, worry keeps us trapped in the past in the old because we fear the change and the unknown.  But when we truly get quiet, breathe, take a beat, we see the universe is working for us, with us, to create new experiences filled with lessons and ultimately love.  But change is scary, and new is the unknown.  In these moments we must take a leap of faith and believe and trust ourselves that these new beginnings will serve us in our best, truest selves. You never know what's around the corner, but does it always need to be something to fear?  What if that difficult ending was only preparing you and making you fully present to experience this wonderful new beginning?   I'm having ones of those moments in my career and recently in my personal life.  Divorce followed by a job change.  Its scary because  its the unknown, but it's also exciting to think what lies ahead for me.  I am ready for this change.  I embrace the new beginning and I lead with love.  I'm excited to see what the universe has in store for me in this next chapter......  Now its your turn...

Look Back at where you came from and let yourself feel proud about your Progress. You're Killing it!

It's easy to get caught up on the day to day activities of work and life and feel like we've been spinning our wheels.  But just stopping to look back at your life at a specific time, for instance a year ago.  You will be amazed at how far you've come.  Personally, a year ago I was gathering the courage to end a challenging marriage.  So much fear went through this decision.  Can I do this on my own?  Will everyone in the family blame me?  Looking back the courage to forge through a difficult time with the belief that although the unknown was scary, I knew deep down we'd all be in a better place.  The challenges were tough, the process was difficult, but we made it.  I stand  here today and reflect back on the last year of my life and really say, " you did it kid."  You created the life you knew would be better.  It's important for all of us to periodically check in and reflect on the events and experiences of our lives.  It really empowers us to see we really can get through something difficult and there IS life afterwards.  It's important to always pay it forward and when we see another caught up in the day to day events of their life that we encourage and say you can do it too!    That's the great thing in life; it's constantly changing, we Do have choices, and it DOES get better.....  And yes.... YOU ARE KILLING IT!!

Make your vision so clear that your fears become irrelevant

Fear is a powerful emotion.  Most of the time we are either responding to people and situations from a place of fear or love.  When we let fear run the show we are left with regret, remorse, anxiety, and disappointment. But when love takes over.... that's a whole other ballgame.

Why not start this week by meditating on what your really want your life to look like?  Close your eyes  right now and picture everything about it.  See yourself in the place and situations you want to be, creating happiness and abundance &  being successful.

Energy Flows where Intention Goes

Energy is a vibration.  Everything has an energy. Our thoughts and actions have energy...... Setting a daily intention or set of intentions helps to clear the mind and focus our actions  for the day.   Starting each day  in a clear quiet space so we can slow down our breathing, relax our bodies and minds,  hear our own thoughts without  distractions is the gift we give ourselves. Reconnecting everyday in this way helps to  re-energize us and to stay present in the moment.
